So, I received my copy of Yume Hiko the same day Clavier announced their disbandment. Depressed, I put the cd on and gave it a listen. It is fabulous, and just made me all the more sad about their announcement. The first track, Yume Hiko is just perfect. Mid-tempo, catchy as hell, and just fantastic. Private Enemy, has that classic Clavier sound and is solid and just as good at the title track. The closing track, Life, is the more upbeat song. It’s not as great as the first two tracks, but is still good nonetheless, and has a rather catchy chorus to it as well as fantastic instrumentation. My overall impression with this release was instant love, and I am saddened by their news. Anyways, these guys have so much talent, and I was looking forward to more releases and growth from these guys, but I will just hope they continue in new projects.
